Retired Odd 6

Retired Odd 6 – Jeff Gordon

Remember 30 Odd 6 during the season, which focused on the 30th driver in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series? This is the same idea, only for retiring or retired drivers instead. We’re going back to a driver from California who retired at the end of 2015.

Name: Jeff Gordon

Age: 46

Hometown: Vallejo, CA

Team: Hendrick Motorsports

Odd 6

  1. Away from racing, he enjoys snowboarding, video games, spending time with family and scuba diving.
  2. He appeared on CBS’ I Get That A Lot special, where celebrities tricked the public by serving in common roles in society in January of 2013.
  3. He won the Heisman Humanitarian Award, which recognizes philanthropic efforts by people in sports, for his work involving the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation and the AARP Foundation’s Drive To End Hunger.
  4. For our wine drinkers out there, he’s got a wine company called Jeff Gordon Cellars (to order some wine, visit www.JeffGordonWine.com).
  5. He hosted Saturday Night Live on Jan. 11, 2003 and has also made guest-host appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly.
  6. He was also in a Pepsi Max “Test Drive” commercial back in 2013. It was pretty successful – it received over 40 million views on YouTube.
